A research journey into the hidden cognitive, creative and emotional effort behind website design.

Research has become an important part of my journey as a designer, digital marketing professional and educator.

My first published research paper explores something that is often overlooked when we see the final outcome of a website:

The work behind the work.

From creative decision-making and problem-solving to revisions, client expectations and emotional pressures, website design involves much more than what is visible on the screen.

This research gave me an opportunity to explore these less-visible aspects of the profession through the experiences and responses of people working in and around website design.
